Call # 1-88*-345-****, e-mail csr@***.com and refund@***.com. Stay on them. Demand satisfaction. Threaten them with the credit card company disputing the charge, the BBB and the FCC.
I registered for an account on Plenty of Fish on November 10, 2019. I upgraded the account shortly after registering it, paying $51.00 through PayPal. On Saturday, November 16, 2019 at about 5:30pm CST, I was logged in, perusing the other profiles. The account suddenly logged out and dozens of messages from POF started pouring in to My e-mail. I could not log in to the POF account again! My password no longer worked! The messages stopped. I could not recover the password through My registered e-mail address! There is no way to get help from Plenty Of Fish at this point, because getting their help requires you be logged in through an account. There is not HELP Phone Number. This is hyper-FUCKED, I think.
PayPal, though, had a contact number for Plenty Of Fish Media, LLC, 1-88*-345-****. PayPal also provided a means to dispute the charge and an e-mail address to contact POF, csr@***.com
I blasted off a phone call (not answered on the weekend) and an e-mail, citing and forwarding the registration e-mail and upgrade e-mail I received from Plenty Of Fish on the day I registered. I demanded immediate deletion of the account, deletion of all of the information and images, and a complete refund of all of My money.
On Monday, November 18, 2019, I received an e-mail from POF, alerting Me that unusual activity had occurred on My account. The e-mail was sent to My original e-mail address as registered, but the Username in the e-mail greeting had been changed. The e-mail provided a way to reset the account password. I reset the password, then logged in with My original e-mail address and the new password.
The profile was vastly modified, changed gender, age, location, pictures gone.
DONT DO THIS!!!! DO NOT delete the account yet. Do that only after you contact POF about a refund.
I did delete that account, right away after logging into it again. Then I called the 1-88*-345-**** number above. They play a game of putting you on hold and telling you you are next in line for about 15 minutes, then pop you to voicemail. Call them right back! Stay on them. Finally an agent answered, phillip.
I gave phillip all of the information. he said, "Hold on I need to check something" and went away for about 5 minutes. he came back and told Me the account had been deleted and therefore there was no way to give Me a refund.
The-FUCK you say! I told phillip to talk to his manager again and tell his manager that the Better Business Bureau would be notified and PayPal would be climbing up their *** about My refund. I will get satisfaction or the FCC will know also. The account security at Plenty Of Fish is total bullshit. I have My personal information exposed and My money taken?! Not in this lifetime. Stay ON THEM. Demand satisfaction.
phillip ran away, again, to his manager, I suppose. he came back and said he could offer a one-time full refund of the charges and confirmed that the account was closed and no further charges would be sent to My PayPal account.
1-88*-345-****, csr@***.com, refund@***.com. Stay on them. Demand satisfaction. Threaten them with the credit card company disputing the charge, the BBB and the FCC.
Then, delete any account you ever had with Plenty Of Fish. Stay the *** away from them. The site is riddled with scammers, fake profiles, ugly, stupid people, and is a total waste of anyone's time. DO NOT GIVE MONEY to them. They will con you to steal it from you.
GIVE THEM *** and they cannot steal from you.
I GET SATISFACTION! I TELL EVERYBODY ABOUT IT.
