Attention Law Enforcement and Regulators:

POF may be knowingly allowing minors to sign up and use their site.

The member colorguardlvr22 has an online profile which states that the member is 20 years old. But in an email, user states that they are 16. POF was notified. 24 hours later, the account is still active.

I used dating sites when I was 16, but I'm a guy. Do you have any idea how dangerous dating sites can be for a 16 year old girl?

A second warning was sent to POF approximately 24 hours later informing them that if they did not act diligently that the media would have a field day with this. POF needs members? They seem more desperate than any of the degenerates who use their site. POF has already been caught using the pictures of deceased service members in their ads. Remember - POF is a Canada based company. They have no loyalty or respect for the United States of America, our laws, our values or our way of life. Their actions have proven this time and time again.

I don't know they do things in Canada Marcus, but in the United States of America this kind of b.s. is frowned upon. Stop knowingly letting minors use your site. At least create a separate section just for them. That would be a fair compromise, because what 16 year old doesn't like to date? I was scouring for chicks on Yahoo when I was 16. Let them do what they are going to do, but let them have their own, safer section. Refuse to do the right thing, and you just wait and see I will send an avalanche of resistance your way.

Dear sir. I dont mean to bust your bubble.

But those are cops out there lying to the public as they are looking for more people to fill the prisons with.

Do you realize those offenders are those the prisons focus on because .....they never fight or cause problems. While the others fight, cause problems, run gangs and makes the guards have a harder day than the meek would create.

Marcus is actually infringing on our privacy and I bet if someone were to take legal action he would lose. POF traces your IP, the folders where you upload your pictures, everything. Normal dating sites do not do this, it's illegal. I have been deleted 4 times and they won't respond as to why. I found this on the internet and the fact we would have to go to this measure says Marcus is going into places he shouldn't. Better Business Bureau complaint anyone?

If you have been banned and would like to get back onto POF:

1. The filters do look for profile content.

2. IP filters than scan past profile content for potential matches.

3. System also runs a cookie check to look for multiple accounts. This is how they find multiple accounts on some people and not on others.

Why? It's simple, if the user is logged in as Joe's PC and gets banned from POF and Joe's PC has old POF cookies on it then you need to change all this data so the system can NOT find you. Remember it's the *** things that will trip you up. So what do you do?

**Before starting anything here go to http://whatismyip.com and get your IP and record it on a piece of paper here.

1. Most of us have a desktop and a laptop computer. Use this to your advantage. Shut down your network and take your laptop when finished to an internet cafe and surf the web there. Until your Network has been down for more than 24 hours bring it up.

2. While network is shut down and not accessing the web in any way. (This means modem & router are both shut down) completely clean all computers of all cookies, passwords, history, viewed pages and so on. If you can reset them to when they were new that will help you out greatly. Download a new browser. DO NOT TAKE THIS NEW WEB BROWSER TO POF. KEEP IT FOR ONE PURPOSE AND THAT'S IT, I'LL EXPLAIN IN A FUTURE STEP.

3. Before you bring your network back up, reset your router. Yes, you must reset the router to wipe it's history back out. Remember, keep the modem off while doing this. You must keep it off while resetting the router.

4. Look at your Router. It will have an IP address and Administrative logins on it. Go to the IP Address on the modem and login, clear out the entire history of that modem. The reset should of done this, but you must check it and make sure that it went through seamlessly.

5. DELETE ALL YOUR BROWSERS EXCEPT THE NEW ONE YOU INSTALLED IN STEP 2. COMPLETELY DELETE THEM FROM YOUR SYSTEM. COOKIES/HISTORY/PAGE VIEWS AND SO ON ARE ON THE COMPUTER, DUMPING THE BROWSER IS PART OF THE TRICK. POF KNOWS YOUR BROWSER TYPE, IE7, IE8, FF, CHROME, SAFARI AND SO ON. THEY EVEN KNOW YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM, WHETHER IT'S VISTA/LINUX/MAC OR A SPECIFIC TYPE OF PHONE. BLACKBERRY, IPHONE, ANDROID AND SO ON.

6. Turn on your modem and reset it. Most modems, dsl/cable have reset buttons. Go ahead and use it.

7. Create a new username on your desktop and/or laptop. This will be the username you use to access pof. DO NOT EVER ACCESS POF AGAIN FROM THE OLD USER ACCOUNT THAT YOUR LAPTOP AND/OR DESKTOP HAD.

8. Now, go onto the net with your new browser and your new user account to http://whatismyip.com and check the IP. Is it different? It should be if your entire system has been scrubbed/reset, your on a new user account and you left it all off for over 24 hours. If it's still the same IP then your only option left to finish scrubbing is to cancel your account with your IP provider and open a new account with a new IP provider. You could also have a roommate order a new account from the IP provider or wait a few days and have the same IP provider open a new account for you.

9. Now, you have the new IP, your system is brand new to the net. Your browser has never been to POF.com and your system appears to be brand new. Go to a free e-mail site and get a new account. I recommend one that has a messenger. If you used yahoo, use msn now for example and create a new account that in no way could possibly have any connection to the old one. DO NOT USE YOUR NAME. THIS IS A *** MISTAKE PEOPLE MAKE WHEN CREATING E-MAIL ACCOUNTS.

10. Now, you have your new e-mail address. Go to pof with your brand new system and create a new profile. Keep your birth year and month but pick a new day. Noone sees the day anyways so your safe. Just try to keep the same Zodiac sign so you can't be nailed by a date for lying about your birthdate on pof. Change the height by an inch, fudge the bodytope slightly. Put up a new profile that in no way references your old one, even the password must be totally new and different from the old one. For some of us this is hard. For example, I've had some extremely creative profiles on POF and for me I have to create very generic profiles for a bit of time. There are software programs that look for speech patterns and will line all of this up. Do NOT post pics at this time. We'll get to pic posting shortly.

11. Did you know POF actually knows the folder/file your pics come from? Yes, they pull the entire path during your photo upload and use that to help nail you. Every image has a different file size and they even monitor that with the auto filters. So you CAN NOT USE ANY OF YOUR OLD PICS.

12. Go out with friends and take some new pics. Upload these pics to your system under the new username on your computer. I can not stress enough once again that you must have a new user account on your computer.

13. Go to POF and upload no more than 2 pics. Period, no more than 2 pics. Make sure they are legitimate pics with a clear face shot, you have a shirt on and so on and so forth. As time goes by you can add more, that's natural. Almost noone uploads a ton of pics to pof at one time when they first join, so don't do it either.

14. Browse the site and then log out and stay away from it for 24 hours. No more than 1 hour on it during the first day, that's normal newbie activity. People who stay on it for hours and hours are normally talking to someone and your a newbie, you have noone to talk to yet because you know noone.

15. Keep in mind, people you were talking to before on pof may be the ones that reported you, stay away from them. Don't go look at their profile during the first month, login very rarely. The first 30 days the filters are watching you closely, that's how they are designed. Notice you can't even report anyone for the first month? This is all important and vital to success, so pay attention.

16. Use that new account on your system and your new browser to view pof and to view the rest of the web. Build a huge history under this user account from all over the web. POF runs cookies (My company has disected them, their ingenious actually) that don't just monitor your onsite activity, they look at other sites you browse for the purpose of helping to serve up ads. Google is the actual creator of these cookies and dang are they sweet. POF just intercepts them to help ID banned members.

During the first 30 days it's imperative that you hardly login. The more often you login the more apt you are to make a mistake and get swatted. That means you have to go back to start.

A good time to reset your network is when your going on vacation. Shut it all the way down, unplug it from the wall and then do the rest when you get back. But keep in mind, if you go near POF before your ready then you will get swatted out of there.

It sounds like a lot to do, but you want to know how the successful guys do it? This is how I've gotten back into POF and been a member for 4 1/2 years. In the beginning they'd swat me within a couple of hours, now they don't catch me at all unless I break another rule and they smack me for that one. Keep in mind, POF's filters depend upon you not cleaning your system to catch you, it's called evidence. Without evidence the filters can not and will not smack your account. But leave any sign behind that leads to a banned account and you will be booted quickly. They run cron jobs on the filters to scan the new accounts for and that is why you can manage to join and get shut down after a few hours without even messaging anyone. Dump all the old data and make your system look brand new and you'll get back in.

Please don;t judge all Canadians - or our laws and customs of which you seem blissfully unaware - by one megalomaniac web site creator.

POF should now be more correctly referred to as POS.

It has now apparently been turned into a singles only dating site - as opposed to the more generic meeting site it once was. Guess people wanting to be "Friends" or "Hang Out" aren't profitable enough.

I met a guy there, dated him for six months, he ended up abusing me terrribly one night.
