POF

So I've had a pof account for less than a month. It seemed to be working well for meeting new people and I had hope for finding a woman to settle down with.

I was never rude, never uploaded or sent any nude pictures. Whoever runs this site is like a dictator in their little computer chair, just deleting accounts at random for no reason. Someone else said something about how if one of the lady's finds a man and settles down then they won't pay for their upgraded accounts because they won't need it anymore. They "found their fish", no longer need pof.

Its starting to make sense now when i see that the only people I've ever heard about who's accounts have been deleted are guys. I was meeting new people and getting to know a girl that I would have been great with. I go to login today and see what she wrote back only to find out my account has been deleted. Now I'll never know.

Thanks pof for wasting my time and deleting my account.

If anyone ever asks me about pof, my advice would be don't waste your time only to be let down and deleted. The people running the site are stepping way over the line with trying to control everyone on there.

Well, where do I start? The last time I was on POF, many years ago, it was free!

But of course, there's money to be made out of human misery, so let's start there. After a brief two weeks on POF as a freeloader, I decided to delete my profile and start from scratch, and actually subscribe. Weighing up the options, I feel like a month is enough on any of these dreadful sites, and decided that even though quite expensive, I would fork out my hard-earned £30 for a month of degrading myself in the act of trying to find love at the click of a button.

So anyway, all is well for the first two weeks. I can message those that I wish, see my likes, and block the downright old and infirm that seem to think that I'm a suitable match!

Then all of a sudden, my message facility reverts back to an unpaid member status, and I'm left with only having the one message per day feature. So as expected, I complain, only to receive a fob off from some underling obviously reading from a script. Nothing changes, and I am informed that I am not entitled to a refund as all payments are final, regardless of my premium membership status.

More complaints are sent, with replies from five different people, with one stating that they've decided to redefine the structures of the membership, and to obtain the message facility back to re-subscribe to a higher level, thus fork out more money for what I should already be entitled to. Sadly, the answers and solution I was after never came, and I'm just being ignored now.

So for you thinking of paying for POF service, please make sure you think again before being ripped off as I have.

Believe me, you soon realise that the 'Meet me' facility is strewn with profiles usually over 4 months old, rarely do you ever get a sent message read, and like most of these sites, most matches are so far away, you'll need your passport in order to meet up. Do yourself a favour, avoid it like the plague!

and a couple of other reputable dating platforms.

Strange as it sounds, the smaller the dating platform is the higher the quality. If it's small and top rated they tend to manually verify all profiles, making it difficult for scammers to get in. It's a shame that POF turned into scammers' paradise. It used to be a good site and it could be a good platform if they implemented strict profile verification process.

Now if you see a good-looking lady, you can be pretty sure she's as fake as a three dollar bill.

It doesn't mean that if you see a bad looking lady you can expect her to be real. Ultimately everybody tends to ask for money.
